Frequently Asked Questions

Electrical Panel Upgrades

Q: Are electrical panels inspected by safety specialists after installation?

A: Each install goes through an intensive inspection process with safety as the number one priority for all of our electrical contractors. We are proudly a participating RAVS Plus member for the ultimate safety protocol.

Q: What should I look for when deciding if it is time to upgrade an electrical panel?

A: Old electrical panels and circuit breakers can emit strange sounds or even burning smells if there are problems with the panel. If you hear noises, notice a burning smell or anything out of the ordinary you should contact us right away to service or upgrade your panel.

Q: Is upgrading an electrical panel and 'rewiring' the same thing?

A: No, upgrading a panel and rewiring a building are not the same. The panel is a hub for where power is brought into the building and divided into individual circuits. Although the wiring starts at the panel, upgrading it will consist of connecting the old wires to a new panel box.

Q: Is it possible to DIY an electrical panel upgrade project?

A: As for all commercial electrical projects you should never try to DIY. Even as licensed contractors with the proper training and knowledge we must still respect the power and dangers that are involved with electricity. We highly suggest contacting a professional electrician for all electrical work.
